See the 1946 and 1947 records for marriage to Louise Inez Hill. The 1962 divorce record shows the 1946 date. The 1946 record lists the place as Petersburg, Virginia while the 1947 record lists Richmond, Virginia.

The 1946 record shows his birth place as Los Angeles, California in 1923. The 1947 record lists his birth place as Cordele, Georgia in 1903. Perhaps that is the birth date and place of his father Joe Calloway Senior.

The 1946 record shows Louise’s father as Tom Castle and her mother as Mamie Hill. It has her birthdate as 1928. The 1947 record has her father as Tom Hill and her mother as Mamie Ivey and her birth date as 1925.

Both show them residing in Camp, Lee Virginia. He is a sergeant in the regular army.

1962 record says they had 2 children.
